On Saturday 18th June Cardiff Rivers group will be at Birdies Lane, on the Fairwater side, when they will continue with removing as much rubbish from the river Ely as they can — it is definitely the river that just keeps on giving! — and litter-pick along the Ely Trail and surrounding areas.
There will also be plenty of Himalayan balsam to pull, too, so wear long sleeves and trousers to protect against nettles and brambles.
Meet at 09:45 at the junction of Cartwright Lane and Bwlch Road (map below).
All equipment — gloves, litter-pickers, bags, hoops, etc — provided.
But if you have your own, please bring it along.
Please wear wellies, boots or stout shoes, and suitable clothing.
If you’ve got your own waders, please bring them.
If you don’t, we’ll have some you can borrow.
Come along and Make A DIFFerence!
